Letter From The Director
Welcome to the Tuscarawas County Child Support Enforcement Agency
web site. We hope that you find our website useful as you access our
services, procedures and forms.
As changes are made in child
support laws and procedures, we will endeavor to keep you informed by
updating this site on a regular basis.
Our Mission is to provide a team of dedicated individuals who work
to collect the support your child deserves.
We aspire to be an outstanding,
family friendly organization providing a professional and caring experience
to every parent.
We believe we make a difference
in the life of a child by working with both parents to establish and enforce
support orders which give children the opportunity for a better life. The Child Support Enforcement Agency is responsible for the location of non-custodial parents; the establishment of parentage; the establishment and modification of child support and medical support orders; and the enforcement and collection of child, spousal, and medical support orders.
The staff consists of 40 employees divided into six units.
The Case Management Unit is the
largest with 17 Case Managers and 2 Supervisors.
The case loads are broken down
alphabetically by the man’s last name.
The Interstate Initiating cases
(those cases we ask another state help us enforce) are a subdivision of
those case loads.
To view a list of the Case
Managers and the case loads they are responsible for, click the
Case Management
link on the left side of this page.
The Intake/Audit Unit consists
of 3 Intake Specialists, 1 Audit Specialist, and 1 Supervisor.
The Fiscal Unit consists of the
Fiscal Officer, Assistant Fiscal Officer and 2 Customer Service
Representatives.
The Legal Unit consists of 2
Assistant Prosecuting Attorneys, a part-time Assistant Prosecuting Attorney,
3 Legal Secretaries, 2 Adjustment and Review Specialists, myself and a
Sheriff’s Deputy assigned to this Agency. We currently have 8,208 open cases and collected
$15,224,147.11 in 2008.
As the Director, my goal is to ensure the agency is providing the
best
service possible to our
customers and to educate the public on child support laws and the services
we provide.
